About the event
Developed Vocabularies showcases how five artists—Ryan Dillon De Wee, Epifania Aindji, Jakobina Nashikwele Gideon, Juliana B. Fredericks, and Paulus Kanyanga—use painting, weaving, and portraiture to explore how art communicates without words.
Over the past three months, these artists refined their practices through studio production, experimentation, and professional development. They received dedicated mentorship from established creatives such as Kim Modise, Barbara Böhlke, Hage Mukwendje, and Haymich Oliver.
Aligning with the Namibian Art Association's core pillars—Platform, Safeguard, and Professionalise—the initiative provides exhibition opportunities, engages with Namibian heritage, and builds sustainable creative careers.
